About Linda

I was born in Northern Ireland, raised in England, and I lived in Australia for all of my 20’s.  I moved to the US in 1980–the smartest move I ever made!   I now live one block from  the Atlantic Ocean in Kennebunk, Maine with my wonderful husband,Tim and our 3 dogs, Gemma, Lilly and Pixie.

My early life growing up in England was dismal–I have vivid memories of gray skies, endless rain, smoke burning factories, and living in a house with no bathroom or central heating.  The first time I ever saw true color was when my parents took me to Ireland—it was as if the color lens in my eyes suddenly clicked into place.

My purpose in telling you about my past is to illustrate the power of possibility.  If you had of told me when I was a child that my future would comprise of living a fabulous life in America, with a wonderful husband, and in a beautiful home, I would have past it off as a fairy tale.   But that’s exactly what happened!

The great thing about being born into that difficult life, is that I knew very quickly what I didn’t want, and so I developed a strong desire to avoid everything that reeked of confinement and lack of possibility.  Mediocrity was not an option for me–I wanted my life to be extraordinary.

And Extraordinary it was (and still is)!

When I was 19 I hitch-hiked (with a friend), from London to Australia.  A hell of a lot happened on that trip including a near brush with death with a Turkish truck driver, and a hair-raising drive through the Afghanistan Mountains.  It also included a rather long stop-off in India, which led to  a deep interest in Eastern philosophy.  I would return to India 5 times throughout my life.

In my professional life, I have done almost everything from working in a Cocoa Cola factory to sewing buttons on shirts, to cleaning houses, to teaching English, to international development, to having my own Feng Shui business.  To doing the work I love most–Coaching!

Throughout all of my learning, both academic and experiential, the one thing I was never taught was the POWER OF THOUGHT–I was never taught how to think properly. I have since discovered that learning how to think in a powerful way was always the missing piece to my happiness–this is how dreams turn into reality!

  • I love books by my mentor, Martha Beck–she’s the best self-help writer on the planet!

  • I love George Eliot, Jane Austen and Dickens because they know the human heart, and they know how to tell stories!.

  • My favorite films are Billy Elliot, My Brilliant Career, and The Full Monty because they are about people who aren’t afraid to claim their right lives despite poverty.

  • I Despise…vulgarity, bad manners, unpleasant environments, anger, envy, gossip, confined spaces, and most of all, people who are moody!

  • I Love…ME, my husband, family, dogs, the ocean, fine wines, America, sunlight, transformation, law of attraction, laughing, and of course, COACHING!

  • My friends describe me as Smart, Intuitive, Kind, Direct, Positive, and Intense, with a touch of Refinement!

  • My biggest issue in life was always around Relationships–it has also been my greatest breakthrough.  I was an adult child who witnessed my parent’s relationship, which was always tumultuous and full of despair, transform and heal throughout the years.  And I’ve gone through my own relationship hell, and have come back.

MY Story (and it’s a great one!)

If you had of told me when I was 17 that I wouldn’t find the right guy until I was 46, I think I would have curled up in a ball and cried!  Those years were one long bumpy ride, but without a doubt, that bumpy ride has contributed to my success.  I will tell you up-front:

It was my shift in thinking and behavior that finally allowed me to claim and attract the relationship that was right for me.

Prior to meeting my husband, I was in a very difficult relationship for 11 years.  When I finally got the courage to end it, I took some time off from men, got happy living the single life, and started to get clear about what I really wanted in a relationship.

I also refused to doubt that finding a suitable mate was possible for a woman of my age.  Newsweek magazine had just published an article that said that women over 40 had more chance of being attacked by a terrorist than getting married.  I was initially devastated when I read this, but I remember distinctly making a choice NOT to believe it–I was not going to be another statistic!

So, what did I do?  I decided to truly love my new single life, and I would go about my days in great anticipation that HE could show up at any moment.

I knew his qualities, his demeanor, and I knew he was looking for me too.  My days and nights were filled with wonderful imaginings about my future relationship.

I knew what I didn’t want, and I really, really knew what I did want.

Attracting a mate was not the only dream I had–I also wanted to live near the ocean.

My favorite place was Rockport–a small eastern seacoast town.  On my weekends I would drive there, walk on the beach, grocery shop, and imagine myself as living in a house overlooking the ocean (with my new mate, of course!).  And so when I met Tim, you can imagine my surprise when he told me that he lived in Rockport overlooking the ocean.

My story is testimony that you can attract the life and the love you want if you are willing to …

Stop Looking for Love, and instead Prepare Yourself for Love.

I was a 46 year old woman who wanted a great relationship, and I wanted a house on the beach. I did the work that I am asking YOU to do.  I got both at the same time.  Now it’s your turn.  I invite you to call or email me for a free 30 minute conversation so that we can get acquainted.

Let’s see if I can help you.

Linda has the ability to shine an intense light on the heart of any matter with great skill, warmth, intelligence and humor.

She helped me find my way out of a morass of tangled thoughts about my fledgling coaching practice, and set me on my path with clarity, enthusiasm and authenticity.

She was able to accomplish in a few short sessions what probably would have taken me months to process on my own. I can't recommend her highly enough.

She's a genius coach, a great woman, and a bright light in the world.

Kate, Maine.
